Our Beginnings

Bizgro was founded in 2002 by Charmaine and Stephen Bazley, initially offering bookkeeping services and soon expanding to include payroll. Charmaine brought extensive experience as a consultant and project manager at Professional Advantage (PA) in North Sydney, while Stephen came from a background in Medical Physics at the Mater Hospital in Newcastle. Our first and longest-standing clients, Steve and Jenny Tinworth, joined us in Gosford using QuickBooks Pro 2002. Charmaine adapted seamlessly to QuickBooks after her expertise in implementing and training others on Microsoft Great Plains (Dynamics) at PA.

In 2003, Bizgro relocated to Toowoomba, securing two large clients early on—one using QuickBooks and the other MYOB.

By 2004, we began building our bookkeeping team. Within two years, we had connected with over 10,000 businesses in Toowoomba, quickly establishing ourselves as the premier bookkeeping firm in the area. To support our growth, we extended our marketing efforts to the professional photography community across Australia and partnered with ActionCOACH (formerly Action International). This led to lasting collaborations with clients like Andrew and Robyn Campbell of Melbourne Headshot Company and even included managing the books for Brad Sugars.
